PRIVACY NOTICE
In accordance with the Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares (Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data in the Person of Individuals), we provide you with this Privacy Notice, in which we inform you of the following:
1.- Responsible for the protection of personal data.
Vehículos Continentales S.A. de C.V. (hereinafter ‘Veico’ & ‘Rentmaz’) with address at Av. De la solidaridad iberoamericana 7864-2, Las pintitas, El Salto, Jal. C.P. 45693, is responsible for the collection, use and protection of your personal data.
2.- Information about our privacy officer and how to contact him/her.

3.- Personal data we collect.
- In order to carry out the purposes set out in section 4 (four) of this Privacy Notice, we will collect the following information:
- Identification data: Name, professional title, gender, marital status, RFC, CURP, driving licence data, passport data, INE identification card.
- Contact details: Address, telephone number, e-mail, website, social networks.
- Employment data (employer, position, seniority, address).
- Commercial/Labour: Position and company you work for, company name, trade name, company tax address and legal representative details.
- Location data: real-time geographical location.
Third party data: Name, relationship and emergency contact details of third parties. - Biometric data: Fingerprint.
3.1.- Personal data of third parties.
For personal information about third parties that you provide to us, you must first obtain the consent of the owner of that information and tell them where they can find and read this comprehensive privacy notice.
4.- Purposes of the processing of the personal data collected.
Primary (related to the provision of the service): To provide the requested services and products, to prevent fraud and loss, and to provide support related to the contracted products and services.
Secondary (marketing): To inform you of changes to products and services, to inform you of new products and services, to inform you of the location of our current branches and new openings, to evaluate the quality of the service we provide, to carry out internal studies, to offer products, services and promotions by e-mail, post and telephone, marketing, advertising and commercial prospecting.
5.- Video surveillance and photography.
Any person entering the Rentmaz premises may be recorded on video and photographed by our security cameras.
The images captured by the CCTV system cameras are used for your safety and the safety of the people who visit us, in order to remotely monitor the properties and confirm in real time any risk conditions in order to minimise them. It is also used to protect the material and human resources within our facilities. The photographs are used to control access to our premises.
The video recordings and/or photographs will be kept for a minimum of 6 months.
6.- Refusal to process personal data for secondary purposes.
If you do not wish your personal data to be processed for the above-mentioned secondary purposes, or for any of them, you may refuse your consent from this moment onwards by sending your request to our Data Protection Officer, who will inform you of the procedure to follow in order to exercise your right. Your refusal will not prevent us from providing you with the services and products you have requested or from entering into a contract with you.
If we obtain personal data indirectly, you will have a period of (five) working days to express your refusal, if applicable, to the processing of the personal data for secondary purposes. If you fail to do so, you will be deemed to have consented to the processing of your personal data for such purposes, without prejudice to the fact that you may subsequently decide to exercise your rights of withdrawal or opposition in the manner set out in paragraphs 6 (six) and 7 (seven) of this Privacy Notice.
7.- Providing personal data.
In order to fulfil the main purposes indicated at point 4 (four) of this privacy statement, personal data may be communicated to the following natural or legal persons without your consent being legally required in accordance with article 37 of the federal law on the protection of personal data held by private parties:
- Business partners with whom we have a cooperation agreement and who, on our behalf or in their own name, provide any of the services you have contracted with Rentmaz.
- Wholesale travel agencies with whom we have agreements to provide our customers with travel products and services such as airline tickets, hotel reservations, car rentals, package tours, bus tickets and travel insurance.
- Associations and Chambers of Tourism Service Providers with whom we have an agreement that is in their interest, as this transfer is for the purpose of preventing fraudulent credit card transactions.
- Technology and information storage companies in the cloud that provide Rentmaz with computer programs used to make reservations, backup services for information on the Internet, car rental processes and product sales.
- Companies with whom we have or will have a contract in your interest and whose purpose is to provide you with the contracted services or to prevent fraud.
- Public authorities, in order to comply with the relevant legislation and to investigate incidents or exercise any rights.
- Doctors, paramedics or health and emergency service providers in the event of an accident, medical emergency or health situation. - To assist you.
- Insurance companies, in the event of an accident, medical emergency or health situation. - To assist you.
- We may also transfer personal identification and contact information to the following legal entities, in which case we will require your consent:
- Companies with commercial activities. - For the purpose of commercial prospecting and the sale of products or services.
- Companies with marketing and promotional activities: To carry out studies, market research and the dissemination of travel and destination promotions.
- Companies with financial activities. - To offer products and services.
- Companies with promotional activities. - To inform you about travel promotions, destinations and tickets.
- Companies with tourist activities. -To promote their accommodation and broadcasting services in national and international destinations.
- If you do not express your refusal for us to carry out this/these transfer(s), we will assume that you have given us your consent.
- From this moment, you can express your refusal by sending an e-mail to our Data Protection Officer, who will indicate the procedure to follow to exercise your right.
8.- ARCO rights.
You have the right to know what personal data we hold about you, how we use it and the conditions under which we use it. You also have the right to ask us to correct your personal data if it is out of date, inaccurate or incomplete (rectification), to remove it from our records or databases if you believe it is being used improperly (deletion), and to object to the use of your personal data for certain purposes (objection). These rights are known as ARCO rights.
In order to exercise any of the ARCO rights, you must send the relevant request by email to our Data Protection Officer, who will inform you about the procedure and requirements for exercising these rights, response times, how we will enforce your right, and will deal with any questions, complaints or comments you may have in this regard.
It is important to note that your request may not always be granted or we may not be able to stop using your personal data immediately, as we may be required to continue processing your personal data due to a legal obligation.
9.- Options available to the holder to limit the use or disclosure of personal data.
In addition to the procedure and exercise of the rights set out in paragraph 8 (eight) of this Privacy Notice, you may limit the use or disclosure of personal data in the following ways:
You can send an email to our Privacy Officer to request that we do not use your personal information for promotional, advertising or marketing purposes by sending an email to our Privacy Officer and requesting to be added to the "Rentmaz Advertising Opt-Out List".
10.- Use of cookies and web beacons.
We inform you that we use electronic technologies (cookies and web beacons) that allow us to collect data about your activity electronically and simultaneously with the time you contact us through our website: www.Rentmaz.com. The information we collect is as follows
Information about the type of browser you use, information about the time and duration of your visit to our site, the sections of our site you visit, information about the pages you visit before you visit our site, information about the pages you visit after you visit our site, your IP address.
The information collected is not necessary to comply with the primary obligations set out in this Privacy Policy, but is essential and useful to us for the following purposes
To send you information about our services and products by e-mail, to send you advertising that is relevant to your tastes and preferences, to send you information about our discounts, packages and promotions, to offer you new products and services based on your preferences.
The data collected will be used exclusively by Rentmaz, therefore such data will not be subject to national or international transfers. You can disable the use of these technologies at any time by adjusting the settings of your web browser.
11.- Location markers on the web and via mobile applications.
If you choose to allow it, our mobile applications and websites may collect location information (geolocation data) using an embedded or connected GPS device on your computer or mobile device or other methods, such as Wi-Fi mapped routers or cellular tower identifiers. You can adjust the settings on your computer or mobile device to disable the transmission of geolocation data at any time by updating your device settings.
12.- Satellite tracking and tracing of vehicles.
For your protection, our vehicles may be equipped with satellite tracking systems. Rentmaz uses these systems to provide a more timely service in the event of an accident, as well as to locate the vehicle in the event of suspected fraud or theft of the vehicle.
You can request the deactivation of the satellite tracking systems at any time at any Rentmaz office or by contacting the Data Protection Officer by e-mail.
13-. Your right to the protection of your personal data and information.
If you consider that your right to the protection of personal data has been violated by the behaviour of our employees or by our actions or reactions, and if you assume that in the processing of your personal data there has been a violation of the provisions of the Federal Act on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Persons, you may file an appropriate complaint or denunciation with the IFAI, for more information see www.ifai.org.mx.
14.- Privacy policy changes.
We reserve the right to make changes or updates to this Privacy Notice at any time in order to comply with new legislation, internal policies or new requirements for the provision or offering of our services or products. These changes will be made available to the public through the following means: (i) visible notices in our branches or customer service centres; (ii) leaflets or brochures available in our branches or customer service centres; (iii) on our website Privacy Notice - Rentmaz Car Rental; (iv) or we will send them to the last e-mail address you have provided to us upon request.
